Creative Information Systems, Inc. offers comprehensive training sessions for our clients. The user is guided through basic operations of the computer, the operating system and the software. Scale Management Software

SMS v5+ - Each segment of our training session directs the user on the set up and usage of the software. The user is taken from the file maintenance set up through the ticketing and billing process. Completion of this course requires approximately six hours. Description of the session are linked at right. Introduction - Return to SMS Training Menu
This initial session introduces the user to the operating system and its various functions. Global Systems Management is a multi-user, multi-tasking environment with unique features. This environment, along with basic operations of a computer, are outlined and briefly described in the following discussions:

Operator id setup Windowing feature
Password and authority Preparing diskettes
Key usage Function line uses
Spooler operations


File Maintenance - Return to Menu
This second session supplies the user with basic understanding of the various set ups required for the system. Establishing all crucial base files throughout the system is necessary for the system to link information. The user is guided through the necessary file maintenance programs. This session is composed of the following segments:

Company master Trucks
Customer maintenance Database housekeeping
Customer orders Save and restore
Customer material rates Extend and tickets
Materials  


Ticket Entry - Return to Menu
The user is walked through the Ticketing Process in this training session. Definitions and functionality of each field in the following programs are discussed:

Ticket file maintenance Split ticket entry
Scale ticket entry Trucks in process


Reports - Return to Menu
This segment of the training session imparts information on reports available through Scale Management System. Procedures to generate, and information available through, the reports are described in this session on the following:

Customer reports Truck reports
Material reports Ticket reports


File Transfers - Return to Menu
This session gives a brief description of the function and uses of the following utility programs:
Export tickets End of day
Import tickets  


Billing - Return to Menu
The final session in our training program instructs the user on the programs that transfer the ticket information to the billing software, and the billing software itself. The user is guided through the Accounts Receivable package available with Scale Management System. The essential audit trail is presented in the following segments:
